Making the Cut -- Without an Introduction

Everyone says to get an introduction to the lender or investor. Great advice, but it's not always possible. So what do you do if there is no introduction? Here's how to make it through to the final cut, without an introduction.

Is your "to do" list longer than your arm? Are you so busy taking care of the urgent that you never get to the important? Do you consider the thought of getting some help but then think "I can't afford it" or "No one can do it as well as I can?" If so, you've got a lot in common with most other small business owners.

You may have started your business by yourself or with the help of one or two friends or family members. Sooner or later, most businesses outgrow their start-up staff and must hire new employees. Prior to hiring new employees, you should be prepared with the proper paperwork.
